SIAN KA’AN BIOSPHERE NATURAL RESERVE (UNESCO World Heritage)
The excursion begins with a visit to the Mayan ruins of Muyil. Walking through the jungle, we’ll visit a watch tower and learn a lot of things about the tropical forest’s vegetation. We’ll then get on a boat and cross the Chunyaxche lagoon, navigating through the canals that served as important commercial routes for the Maya people.
During the excursion, we’ll see different eco-systems: the savannah, marshes and mangrove swamps. After visiting a small, but well-conserved, Mayan temple, we’ll put on our life-jackets and relax, dipping into the canal’s fresh, clear waters; a very special experience right in the middle of nature.
If you want to, we can organize exclusive outings around the region.
